U.K SLK230 Sat Nav

Hi People,

Can anyone advise on a suitable Sat.Nav system for U.K SLK230 (1999)?.

I have been looking for a while now for one that will not ruin the interior by having cables etc looking rubbish.

Ideally i am looking for a company that supplies and fit a Sat Nav system that will fit the SLK without messing up the look of the car. I hate the ones that stick to the windscreen or have a cable from the cigarette lighter to the device hanging in plain view.

I no mercedes make one but i dont know if its any good as i really want a nice display aswell as voice.

Any recommendations or thoughts would be welcomed.

Hi,

I have to say I would be also interested in this. There are far too many SATNAVs out there that seem very overpriced for what they are and a great many look very ugly. Do the makers no realise we buy nice cars not to make them look shoddy with a SATNAV system. Even the mercs one seem a bit shoddy.

I installed the Alpine single Din GPS DVD Sat Nav unit, it has voice & 3 D display. The aerial fits under the dash, & has great signal strength.
Excellent at only £500 used by on eBay... I know of another identical unit if anyone is interested.
