Green Cotton air filter

I am working on a cold air box to ensure cooler air.

Are you going to shield it from the heat of the engine? With the hood closed, you could be drawing in warmer air than the stock airbox.

I have installed a heat shield but it is very temp. fix. I wonder if the stock air box and the Green Cotton air filter produce the same hp results. Engine does run warmer now and I attribute that to the air filter (heat soak) and the Supersprint header. I am considering wrapping the header with Thermo Tech header wrap to alleviate the engine bay heat. If the Green Cotton filter does not up the performance then I will reinstall the stock air box. I think the High flow air filter does make a difference but it must be shielded for cooler air.

so have you dynoed your car to see if it gained any hp? or do you feel any more power with the green airfilter on then the stock filter?

I am going to dyno the car soon and will post results. Yes, I think that the filter did help the engine. I am also running an ASP Racing pulley and Supersprint header/muffler and more air coming in will be a good thing.
