HELP! My roof won't lift!

Guys,

Last week I had let the roof stand mid-ways in order to clean the black glass. Before I could get to it, the roof automatically closed on me. I thought I wud do the clean later and left it at that.

Yesterday when I tried to open the top up, only the trunk door moved back (to let the roof in) but the roof did not even budge. I tried pushing it from inside. No avail. Any help is highly appreciated!!!! Its still under warranty but the MB dealership is far away! I thought I wud post here first!

Bad microswitches

what model year is it?

I had that problem on my -99, cause it seems like there was a bad batch of microswitches on the -99 model, wich caused the roof to get stuck!.

All in all i think there is 7 microswitches that works the different positions of the roof.
I had my local dealership look at it and their conclusion was that 3 microswitches needed replaceing, that cost me about 4500 SKR (560 USD) to replace them and now it works fine.

'99 SLK Firemist Red Metallic/ oyster & charcoal interior-Sold, '02 black 230
I'm having the same problem (this weekend) and cannot find a version of the TSB regarding the faulty microswitches in the '99s. Can anyone tell me where to find it on the web?
Thanks!
