A comment like that is just as sexist as the one about the legs being up.

Let people drive the cars they like and don't judge them for it.

I'm a guy and I say it's okay to leave the top down if you wish. While I disagree with the "it's just a pile of metal and plastic" comments (really, a car you love is more that that), still you can't live your life in fear of what might happen.

So leave the top down when you feel it's safe and tell your husband to go pound sand. He's bluffing on the d-i-v-o-r-c-e thing!

That is very low rent indeed (for the Europeans in the forum it means low class) whether it's a Benz or a Chevy Vega - throwing a lit cig into someones car interior shows the person who did it had a total lack of class and respect for other people's belongings. OR... maybe his/her spouse won THEIR Benz in a divorce settlement..!!

I will try them first.
OK, get this - because I am not mechanically inclined, and wanted to do this as a Christmas present (and a way to stay married, see prior post about DIVORCE) I contacted the guys who once left Benz to perform the install - they want $350 usd to perform the install that you guys are doing in your driveway. I need advice - is the install worth $350 in labor? Or should I just present it to the hubby in the box, and let him install (he's very handy).

btw - the stealership referred me to an Alarm shop that wanted $750, and they have to use their own product - I cannot bring them my Bipes unit that I purchased through our group buy.

It's also the reason why more women who love cars don't populate or visit these forums.

Exactly, because after we've performed the surgeries, designed the bridges, flown the planes, litigated the cases, educated the masses, and negotiated the million dollar contracts -we still have the ENERGY to handle the domestic responsibilities as well.

To run with the big dogs you can't **** like a puppy! Us Southern girls don't scare easily..!! Now back to car talk!!!!!!! :p

Nope, that's actually the rattling of that 00 C230 engine you are hearing. "motor mounts"? you ask yourself worridly. Nope, it's the 2.3L Inline 4 Cylinder engine finally realizing that it wasn't designed to be, nor will it ever be a true Mercedes.

Now that's getting back to car talk :v
