SLK/R170: Transmission wont shift. HELP

Transmission wont shift. HELP
Ok, We re did a mercedes slk and now the transmission wont shift. It goes in park, reverse, drive. But when you put it in drive and drive around it wont shift out of first gear. The transmissions fluid is good so I dont understand whats going on. Could it be a eletronics problem because if the transmission was fried it wouldnt even move foward when put in drive, right?
