Determining wheel offset

I found a nice set of AMG wheels at an estate sell. The seller did not know what they came from. They have the correct bolt pattern for SLK, but I am unable to determine the offset. I thought I had read that this is usually stamped on the wheel, but I could not find anything but part numbers. Is there a specific place I should look? I know what offset is, but I'm not sure how to measure it. Ideas?

The offset of a wheel is the distance from its hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel.

What was the part number on the wheel? That might give you an idea of what model it came off of. If they were from an E or a C Class they should work but stay away from ML, S-Class or SL wheels for the SLK.
