Need help, alarm won't shut off

Hi everyone,

Ok, my alarm is going off every time I lock it. I have read that it could be due to water intrusion in the trunk. I also read there is a fuse that can be pulled to temporarily disable it. Can someone tell me where this is, the alarm is killing me!

edit: Found it(fuse 9). Stupid water intrusion
thanks,

Matt

RE Alarm

This happened to my 99. Turned out to be the door lock pump. I guess they are phneumatic(sp?) and when the pump is bad it releases pressure on the door locks and the alarm thinks someone is breaking in. $800 to fix.

Your PSE pump has water damage.
If the car in under warranty take it back to the stealership.
or
Pull the pump, remove the bottom and clean the board and connectors of the greenish corrosion with a tooth brush and electronic cleaner.

If it is burnt badly go to the dealer and purchase a new pump and install it yourself. Takes about 10 min. to install.
The pump cost 300.00 to 400.00 bucks +-.

The pump is located to the right of the spare tire enclosed in a foam block.

Be careful not to pinch the hoses when you put it back in.

Does the pse pump require any programming ? I know the pump electronics is tied into the car's security system therefore I'm asking.
