SLK/R170: Saying goodbye
Here is my fun list of problems
14,000 the door panels started to come apart (warranty the first time)
18,000 front wheel bearing and adjust windows to correct wind noise $400
19,000 rear pinion seals were leaking $600
22,000 Needed a new fuel module to correct cold start stumbling $1300
24,000 the door lock pump went bad causing the alarm to go off randomly (usely at 3:00 in the morning..That thing is loud inside a closed garage) $800
26,000 the interior paint on the center console started to chip and the windows needed to be adjusted again.
27,000 SOLD IT

Throw in the two flexible services, front brakes ($700) at 22,000, new set of tires almost ever 10,000 and the third car we had to keep because of Pittsburgh winters, and this car was expensive to own. Don't get me wrong, you get what you pay for and I know this is a Mercedes, but I think the issues, especially the ones that a lot of people are plagued with are two great for a $45,000 dollar car.
