i didnt even show u guys the interior yet,, because by the rate this is going, most of u will have a heart attack.

also the rims were 4000...not 2000.

anyway,,, also, to make it clear,,, i never got upset or an attitude with people because of their opinions on my car.

I'd go with the dealer because they install them for you.

You got robbed 4k for those rims!! I see them all over the place for like 2k with tires mounted and balanced with a free car wash. Well I'm not really trying to be a dick just breaking your *****. second of all,, since when did i claim to be a "big shot"?. i dont own a s class, but i do own an e-class ( 01), ford explorer (99), and now a 99 slk230... does that qualify as a big shot to you.

maybe you need to eat your wheaties..

and lastly,, i tried getting some 9000 rims but they wouldnt fit on a 99 slk.

I cant believe this thread is still running. Why are people poking fun at Jay's Rims? It isnt my cup of tea but there is no need to make fun of his decision to buy it or his occupation for that matter. A simple thumbs up or down is suffice. Didnt anyone tell you... if you dont have anything nice to say, dont say it.

I personally think it is immature. I have people criticizing me decision to purchase a SLK230 while in college. I dont give a **** anymore. Cheers Jay.

Hey jay what part of jersey are you from??? I was born and raised in manhattan. Soho to be exact!!! I'm a military police officer, Sgt. 1st class. And right now I'm stationed in germany I've been here for 2yrs I have 1yr left. I can't post pics of the 600 because it's back in the states, but I'll post some pics of the G 500 I'm working on right now. Hopefully I'll be taking delivery of her in the next couple of weeks. If you like I'll have my girl take some shots of the 600 & the ML for you. Trust me you'll love it!! Do you want shots of the e class and classic 250c also. Come on jay your f--king with one of the best. Have you been to the MB museum in germany it's unreal.

The truth of the G 500 is money. I am trying to work out a government loan with like 1% interest for the G class. So I put my application in and I'm waiting for a response. If I get denied I still want a G class so I might have to go with something used. Over here they have alot of older G's but there still very nice. I looked at the AMG but truthfully it's out of my price range. And about the slk My honest opinoin on it is I do like it I'm not fond of the rims I think it's a little to much but it's still a benz so I gotta love it!! LOL

yo, so how do u go about bringing one of those g classes over here?? is it a big process?

My brother is in bulgaria right now filming a movie with jean claude van dam. he told me that all he sees over there are convoys of g-classes....i want one too.... but is it really a hassle bringing them over?

I'm not sure how a civilian would get it over here. I'm sure there are companies that just do that. For me the army would send it over classified as "household goods" up to 4,000 lbs for free after that I have to pay extra. Via cargo container. Yes the G class is like a dime a dozen over here. I hope I can get one off the show room floor. I pray every night!!!

Maybe not a dime a dozen but I've seen more here in a week then I saw in 6 months back in the states. If things don't work out with the loan I think I'll be happy with something used over here. I really want a right hand drive G class if at all possible. The trucks look for the most part the same there is always added molding and updated wheels and interior on the brand new ones but the the general body style is the same give or take a few minor details. The engines is what is really different they made so many engine types for that thing. If Ihave my choice I'm going with a diesel it just sound rough and rugged. I don't want a pretty boys G. I want a real mans truck maybe even with a few nicks and dents to give an authentic rugged look. (maybe)

Sorry guys, but these aftermarket wheels look terrible. If I were you, I'd go back to the stock wheels and see if there are any takers for the 19 inchers on ebay. You could also see if the MB dealer will taken them in part exchange for the oil pan you need.

If you want to spend $4000 (are you mad?) to attact chicks, I think you should spend a few weeks in Nevada, you're more likely to get value for money.

dude, what the hell were you thinking? get the AMG rims. much more classy and they definitely accent the natural lines of the SLK.
