M111 2.0 ltr 136 hp upgrade? (1999 R170)
Hi all, my cousin owns an 1999 SLK 200. Can you tell me a budget upgrade to gain around like 20 hp without having to spend a lot of cash? Kompressor installation or change of motor are not included in his options. Any European dealers, links and links to buy it from, any kind of advice is welcomed. His car is located in Greece.

Its the ordinary 2.0lt Kompressor motor which produces 163 hp but without the kompressor... Its an SLK 200. NOT an SLK 200 Kompressor. It produces 136hp like for example the W202 C200. Are there any upgrades such as turbo kits or complete exaust systems or superchips that might boost it up a little? I would like to know if anyone has gone down any of these roads, with the same motor or even a Kompressor one, and let me know what happened. Some prices and links would also help.

Vaeth is a German company near Frankfurt offering 185 hp for the naturally-aspirated M111 2.0L engine (http://www.vaeth.com/pages/slk/r170/slk200.php)
They increase displacement to 2.5L and add a Supersprint exhaust system. The latter can be had separately and is supposed to increase horsepower by ~10%.
If you're interested try calling them rather than e-mail, and ask for Jasmit, the chef's daughter as she speaks English fairly well.
