Help! Fixed Radio but this time tow light is lit and remote lock makes alarm go on
Someone please help me. I went to the dealer to fix my radio. I got my code. but now whenever I lock my car the anti-theft alarm goes on. It really annoying and another thing I notice is that my tow light is lit. Can't seem to turn it off. I have a SLK230 1999. I took out the fuse for the anti-alarm to stop it from going on constantly.

Your PSE pump is probably defective or became wet. The location is in the truck and it is susceptable to getting wet. Once it is wet, the siren,interior lighting may not work, and the locking system may be affected.
The PSE sits on right side of trunk. Remove the jack and you will see it. It is contained foam box. It has vacuum lines and electrical connections. You try to clean it electrical connections and/or dry the foam box. Replacement cost $250 to $300.00. Perform the replacement yourself--about 15 to 30 minute job.
