Question Cant find power cable in trunk4CDChanger

Hello folks,
I recently purchased a MB used 6 CD changer for my slk320 and as i was trying to install it realized i cant find the power cable in the trunk. I found the optical cable and adjusted that but the black power cable is no place to be found.
Do i need to unplug it from some place perhaps?
I would appreciate any suggestions as to where the power cable is located in the trunk.
I already know the area but need to know were exactly is the power cable coming from.
Should it be just dangling freely or would it be connected to a secured place perhaps?

Here is the site I’m using to make the installation!
And I’m referring to the 1st picture on the site, which shows the black power cable.

Thanks in advance,

AK

I had a look at mine. It appears to be running along the side of the car. It is fastened together with some cables for the rear lights. The cable is of a cloth like texture on mine. You might need to put your hands inside and fiddle around. I know it took some effort to find mine.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Keng1 for the info.
I do see a cable as you described near the light in the back side but the strange thing is that it looks like it's already inside a jack or a socket already. Perhaps it's being used for something else already. i tried to pull it out but its very secure and I’m not sure how to release it from the socket as its very hard to see inside due to the angle and it being very dark.
Did you have to pull it out of that socket?
I will fiddle around with it and see if I can get it released, as it seems kind of secure.

Thanks a bunch,
AK

Glad to hear you found the cable. It should only be fastened so that the cable is easily found for the CD installation. You should not have to disconnect it from anything. The end of the cable is probably stuffed somewhere so that the tip does not rattle against the metal parts of the car.
