My wife is having a problem with the A/C blower in her 2001 SLK 230. The problem is that the blower does not come on immediately when she turns on the A/C. Changing the setting by increasing it or decreasing it does not seem to help. Sometimes it takes 3-5 minutes for the blower to start working. Does anybody have an idea what would cause this? Thanks.

 

Sometimes they take a while to sense all the temps etc to adj.
Put on fan speed 3 and press centre button so light is ON.(this turns auto aircon off)
Have recirc OFF.

Some models have the feature that, until the air is actually cool / cold - it's not going to kick in , blasting you with hot air.. it will actually wait to sense the temp has cooled off before blowing the cooled air out...
