SLK/R170: Advice on my 230!

Advice on my 230!
Hello everybody,
Need some advice re: 99 my slk230, I am having problems with my 230 shifting to higher gears when it's not suppose to. I'ved taken it to my dealership but they did not find anything wrong with the car. No check engine light! New MAF sensor too.The car seems to want to go to a higher gear when its not suppose to, like when your cruising or coming out of a turn, step on the pedal about half way then it shifts down. If I disconnect the battery for about 30 mins. It seems to run fine for a short period of time then it does it again.Any of you experienced this annoying problem.Any advice please.

Three things to try/check
1. Throttle body reset
open door
put key in ign, turn so warning lights come on
press throttle to flppr hard
hold for 10 secs
turn key off
release throttle
wait 2 mins
drive away
2. MAF
Clean with CRC MAF cleaner (liberall spray (or brake clean)
3. Has the auto fluid been changed?? Get it done.

As I was about to reply on this post. The dealership called and found the problem. he says it's the ETC (ELECTRONIC TIMING CONTROL)It's gonna cost me 1050 to fix, 750$ for the ETC and 3 hrs of labor. I guess it's okay,atleast my annoying shift problems will be gone.
