My "new" SLK

1999 SLK230, Silver (cuz I don't like white or copper!)
37,700 miles (yep, no "1" is missing in front--37,700 and 2,000 are mine)
Stock with exception of my add-ons:
Bipes Remote Vario-roof Command
Bipes Ipod/MP3 Adapter for use with my MiFi XM2Go (with ground loop isolator)
Argos Bluetooth module paired to my PPC 6700

Studied the forums and found out the answers I needed to make sure I could get everything to work. Thanks for all the information, it really helps.

I'm loving the car, and I am enjoying driving again. Sure it isn't new, but it's new to me and feels oh so good.

Welcome to the forum Bill...even though you bought a silver one!! ...go copper!!!

Interesting to see you have a Spitfire too. I had a '80 back in the late '80s. Fun little car. It had the factory hardtop with the pop out wingette windows. AND...it was orange. woohoo!

Thanks for the welcome Kevin.

I just couldn't resist the silver comment.

I'm jealous of your 172. I got a couple hundred hours in them when I spent some time as a CFI.

Good news on the top controller. I splurged for the BVRC, very happy with it.

I like silver, the rest of the family loves white, so we have a white one. What's great about owning the Spitfire is the SLK will be slightly more reliable. Of course that's subjective, my wife thinks our Spitfire may have been more reliable.

Well, one of the cool things about the Spitfire is it's the only car I've ever owned were you could sit on the front tire and do just about anything you needed to to the top end. A sort of built in stool...lol.

Hey Buffalo...I apologize if I mislead you on the 172. I don't own it, just fly it. Are you not flying anymore? I've taken a short break due to financial issues, but will be resumming soon.
