Factory alarm going off...

98 slk230 and the alarm keeps going off.No outside reason for going off other than a lot of rain today much earlier in the day..I was standing right beside it for 10 minutes with nobody around and it still went off..it goes off with doors locked or unlocked with keyfob..never done it before.

I could turn it right off with the remote but within about 10 minutes or so it would go off again..
I disconnected the battery tonight ot keep it from going off.

Thx buddy, I'm going to go pull it now and check it out...I'm going to flip to stop this again.

Just need a hardeneing conformal coating spray?
That should be easy enough to find at say Radio Shack or something.?

well that easy enough to get to..I have noticed some pretty good heat on the topside(flat) part of the PSE..it is on the underside of the black thick harness.

That would indicate to me a source of short or water intrusion no?

Eevrything works perfectly fine....just want to know if this part of the PSE should be fairly warm?

I would think no.

why why why is this not water-tight?
Nor does it have weather-pack connections

nor does it have drains in the bottom of the PSE...I mean come on now!You sealed up the bottom of the box to trap water?

I have a little water in it...just enough to make the corners wet and get the control board.

My black thick harness shows some corrosion/shorting...it is painfully obvious this box was put in upside down...would have saved all this trouble.
