Clear bra - Anyone have any experience with it?
I've seen a car advertised with a clear bra. I did some web searching and it's a 8mm film that is applied on the front bumper (among other locations) that offers protection from road stuff. If anyone has used this, can you please let me know what your impressions are about it. Does it detract from the car? Does it damage the paint, etc? Inquiring minds want to know ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thanks,
Sal

I had it on my car before the accident and it worked great. The body shop didn't apply it after the they rebuilt the car, and the paint chipped in like 2 months, so they repainted the front for me, twice. My brother is looking to put it on his 04 GTO.

MBWorld Fanatic!
We have it on our pickup truck because we used to go off road with it to go dirt bike riding and it's worked very well but it is noticible but not bad. Had it since 2003 so it's held up.

I have some experience with clear bras. From my experience they are the same as colored and silk bras. Just reach around, pinch your index and thumb together around the clip and enjoy!

This stuff is great. Depending on how much you get covered, you may see the line at some angles, but if done right, it does not detract from the look of your car,...at least not as much as rock chips would.
