wind deflectors

i was thinking of getting a perspex wind deflector for my r170 but did not want to pay 40+uk £ plus for the priveledge (prices from Ebay etc for 2nd hand)
so i thought of making my own but need to know the dimensions/shape/fixing points first, then i will make a template and then finally the perspex version.

any ideas, tips for this?

perhaps i can even sell these if i make a good enough job of it.

yeah, that was the intention but i need to know the dimensions first or at least the best way to secure the deflector so one can be made and work without it popping off when driving.

I have seen some that go all the way accross and strap on the roll over hoops as well as the one I put on mine that uses the hat hook bolts an just goes between the hoops. You also may want to angle the center part of the wind screen back to deflect glare.
