1998 SLK 230

Low battery level indicator

Added distilled water to battery, but light stays on. Anyone know how to reset it ('98 SLK 230)? Thanks.

I think there is function to reset the battery light. Check for the Dynamo for other possbile causes.

I have experience to have my lights warning light on and it is simply switchs itselft off when I put a new brake light bulb.

'02 SLK32 AMG

"low battery level" means that the charge is low, not the amount of electrolyte liquid inside the battery. It's likely that your battery is getting weak and needs to be replaced. You might want to have it tested. It could have a bad cell and that can cause other problems with vehicle eletronics.
