The most popular kit is the one from ASPRacing.com, tell them Buellwinkle sent ya. You didn't say for which year car so I'll assume it's for the 2001 or newer. If so, the instructions on my website are pretty close as the 2002 C230 used the same exact motor as the 2001-2004 SLK230's.

Also, I don't understand what you mean by best. Just so you know, Dynospot Racing, Brabus, Renntech, Vaeth, Opera Design, Carlsson and Kleemann all make/made a pulley kit (don't know if they all still do). To say one is better than another is like asking me to pick a favorite kid and that's easy, the one that costs me less is always my favorite, LOL.

How much more boost gain will I get w/ the asp pulley kit? I have a 99 slk and I'm boosting about 5 psi on a cold day, but thanks to global warming it averages 3 to 4. If they got something that can get it to 10 psi, that will kick ***.

Oh why?

These kits dont give that many extra pounds. The ability for the SC to supply more air and fuel is the key.
ASP kit has all you will ever need.

The ASP pulley kit on my car with a manual trans showed 10+ PSI. With an automatic it will do about 9+ PSI. Why you ask, because you can rev higher with a 6-spd, higher revs = more boost. Here's my dyno but remember, it's a 2002, same motor but different controls -
