Brabus 18"x8.5 rims

I was wondering if my slk would be able to fit these rims. The tire size on the rims are 225-40-18 I do believe. Will there be any problems with this setup? I do not believe I am going to lower the car, will these look ugly or will it still look ok? Also, would I need to re-align the car since I am not going to change the suspension? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks ahead of time.

Oh yea. Have you guys seen any pictures of slks with no drop could you link me or send me some of those pics?

You can easily fit 18" rims and tyres to your SLK. I think that compared to the standard 17" rims (sport) that come with your car, they would look very good.

There was recently a thread on this board started by a guy who put 19" rims on his SLK and wanted our opinon. We pretty much all agreed that it was very ugly! Have a look for fun: SLK with 19" Rims

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering would I need to get an allignment after changing out the rims? Will the tires still wear evenly? I don't want to be wearing one side more than the other.

If you have your tyres installed professionally, the installer should balance and align as part of the installation.

If this is not typical where you live, then you should request this at installation.

I dont think this is typical around here. But actually I'm swapping out my rims from my clk to give to my sister in her slk. So I was just wondering if she would need to get an allignment afterwards.
