I don't remember which HU 04s had. either Becker or Alpine.

Becker has their office in NJ and they offer repair services.

Hi all, first post, I just purchased a 2001 silver SLK 320 over the long weekend. I will be changing out the stock head unit for an aftermarket one tomorrow so I should be able to sell you the stock HU if you are interested. I was planning on keeping it so that if I ever wanted to switch back, I could, but depending on what you offer, I could probably sell it to you. Please feel free to PM me with an offer if I can accept PM's (not sure since I just registered but I am guessing I can or just post here if you cannot PM me).

I am located in CT and I could ship out within the next few days assuming the price is right and I get the install done with the aftermaket HU tomorrow without any problems.

I actually am coming to this forum in search of subwoofer set up ideas either for the trunk or kick-panel sub set up in the front of the vehicle and advice as to what would sound best. Also looking to see if anyone by chance wants to sell a custom sub box that is fitted to the small SLK 320 trunk or if anyone knows where to get something that is the correct size -- if anyone sees this and has some insight or something for sale, please let me know.

P.S. -- my SLK320 is a 2001 - I see your car is a 2004 -- I assume there is no difference in the HU as mine looks just like the one pictured here:

update - my appointment got canceled today but is rescheduled for Saturday -- the install guy at Circuit City states he does not know a lot about the Benz and did not want to "mess up" my vehicle, but I should be good to go for Saturday. I haven't heard from you yet, but post here or hit me with a PM if you are still interested.
