last night when I step on the break to slow the car, the tranmission suppost to ship down as the level of the speed normally, it went fine until, I think the 3rd gear to the 2nd gear i can feel the shock just a little but you can tell it not normal, it's not smooth like 5gear to 4gear or 4gear to 3gear or 2gear to 1gear.......so i decided to drive to a speed and press down a break and again it happen when tranmission shock again from 3rd to 2nd.....all night long i'm going to a dealer soon but i wonder if any of you can give me any suggession before i spent money on it or have this kind of problem..........this is slk230,1998......thank....fish

How many miles on the car ? It might just need a transmission flush, I know MB says it's trannies are sealed for life but people on here have flushed their's and been amazed at the results after.
