SLK/R170: ECU Remap SLK230 1997

Hello,
I had my ecu remapped by a company with a good repuation and I have used them before. The SLK230 1997 has 150'000 kms on the clock and has always run well.
Since I reconnected the modified ecu, the car starts perfectly, sounds perfect but has very limited power. If I press hard on the throttle I get very little response, if I press the throttle slowly and progressively the engine will gather speed and power and is at least drivable.
It is if the MAF/ecu is not detecting the correct fuel/air mixture for the actual condition.
As all error codes and learning codes have been cancelled, is it possible that the ecu is not adapted/tuned to the old MAF![Confused](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
Should I take the ecu back and switch back to standard mapping or change the MAF ?
I have no visble engine fault indications. all of your help is greatly appreciated!
Peter

If there isn't a CEL there probably isn't a problem with the MAF. With the milage you have, you may need a major service with plugs, etc.
