SLK/R170: 20" on a SLK!?

Nothing's impossible until the wheel diameter is bigger than the stock tire diameter, right? The stock tire diameter is almost 25 inches, so in theory, you could run 23s and still have room for the wheel lip. Of course, you'd need to have the tires custom made...
Anyway, I've seen pics of 20s on a CLK before and the wheel specs are identical between the C, CLK, and SLK.
It's the first time I've seen 20s on an SLK. I can only hope it's the last.

Well im not against a tuning like that but there have to be a limit.
I always tell that MB have to sue this kind of people or make a contract before buying the car...
I understand we all have different tastes but nobody has the right to spoil the image of Benz...
(Rims have nice design but that enormous size makes the car look funny )

With Size:245/45-17 = 70MPH
With Size:255/30-20 = 73.7MPH(error of 3.7MPH.
It can be done, you wont have a lot of side wall and your speedo will be off.
