SLK/R170: immobilizer tired

immobilizer tired
the immobilizer of my slk 200 kompressor is tired, very tired!!! so when i tell him to switch off (with the remote control of doors) and let me strat the engine he slowly come out of bed then wash his teeth and finally after 20 seconds make me a beep to tell me "ok now you can start"!!!
help me to wake up him!!!!!!!!

I laughed out loud when I read your post.
I doubt I can help you, but have you tried to start it with a different key? Maybe the transponder in the key isn't working right. You should have 2 remotes, and maybe a valet and master key.

Probably a mechanical problem?
I like mysterious problems coz i had to deal with them for many times.i still couldnt take my car to service for the roof.It opens in 3 minutes.
(mine is also brushing its teeth plus a shower)
