Does the timing chain need to be replaced?

Does anyone know if the timing chain needs to be serviced? Or does it last the life of the motor?

TIA,
Peter Voss

chances are no, the tentioner might need to be replaced way down the road, and the car most likely has two(double row) timming chains.

It should last the life of the motor, barring any bizarre failure.
