Fan belt seems to be smoking, is this the compressor front bearing or something else. Car has been in storage and when started it this has happened.

I have been able to free up the clutch and still no cold air. when the clutch was lock did I damage a fuse or any line fuse in the electrical? Or am I at the point to just replace the whole unit or maybe just the clutch only if this can be done? Any help would be great, thank you.

Check if you got the right pressure in line? You can buy a R134a with gauge at an Auto Zone and check the correct pressure. If there is no proper pressure then no matter what you do the compressor wont kick in.
If that's correct, spend the $85 and get it checked at an AC place. Any would do, it doesnt have to be a Mercedes. AC is AC, they all work same way. there is no nuclear science here hahahahhaa
