A "Signal" of Trouble to Come?
I started up my '98 SLK 230 Komp. the other day and drove it about five miles to an appointment. All the way there my signal lights wouldn't work. I would press the signal arm and the signal light would simply come on and stay on (i.e. no blinking). When I drove the car back home I had the same problem. However, the next morning the signals worked fine and have continued to do so for the last three days. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? Anyone care to take a stab at a diagnosis?
Thanks,
Rob

Either you have a bulb bad, but your warning light should come on if that were the case. or it could be that your signal relay is failing. I am not sure about the SLKs but my old C class the relay is used by the turn signal, rear defroster, and the intermittent wipers. when turn signal stops working all the other features stop working.
