I'm planning on purchasing a roadster in the near future. I'm considering purchasing either a Miata, S2000, SLK, Audi TT or MR2. Although the MR2 is now off my list due to the fact I can't carry a set of golf clubs in the trunk. Will the SLK hold a set of golf clubs in the trunk and still allow the top to operate?

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

can't speak for golf clubs but hockey bag fits with top up. forget about the top down. hockey sticks fit in passenger seat.

I found that clubs will indeed fit in the trunk if the top is up. Forget down, I'm lucky to get my golf shoes in...

My compact stand bag fits okay, but the driver has to come out of the bag and kinda go in angled.

No way your getting clubs and a bag in there with the top down though. Maybe just a few clubs, but no bag

I usually have the clubs in the passenger seat with the Tiger headcover blowing in the wind on the way to the course!

My golf bag does not fit in the trunk, I just toss it in the pass seat.
Hockey bag fits in the trunk, little tight with the top down.

Golf bag goes in passenger seat. but you can fit a few clubs in the trunk if you are going to the driving range or pitch and putt, with someone else, and the top will go down. For hockey bags I take the pants out stuff them behind the seat and then I can put the top down.
