SLK/R170: Anyone ever had problem with your gear

Anyone ever had problem with your gear
I yesterday had a problem. After driving my slk 200 kompressor for 125 miles , while my gear was at D position I started to feel that I have to push my right foot harder to get the car moved.
Eventually,it could not move at all. I decided to switched off the car and re-start again. It worked.
Do you have any clue what's reason behind?

Hi Thai Man.
I Have sometimes the same problem with my slk230. It happend after I hed used the manual 4,3,2,1 shift ( I hope ) and disappear after the gear has been in P followed by normal D. Have you found the problem ?

After that time, the problem hasn't come back yet.
But I stop using engine break ever since. I hope it would not come back again.
