both brake lights, cruise not working
hi everyone
I searched the forums and can't find an answer. I already had the recall tail light repaired
i have a 2001 slk230, for a few months now the esp/bas light is lit and the cruise control stopped working. I figured it isn't the end of the world so I let it go. now both brake lights are not working when the brake is pumped even with the headlights turned on. although the rear brake fog light works fine. the dash light sign is not on so I never even knew the brake light was out. checked the fuses, no problems but replaced it anyway. checked the bulbs and both are fine. any ideas or am I screwed and have to see a mechanic? any recommendations in the brandon, FL area?

thanks, you were right on. all it took was a new brake light switch for $19.97 and 15 minutes!! I couldn't imagine how much money I just saved. once again this forum filled with good people saved me, simply awesome....
