SLK/R170: Fog lights come on after I lock car HELP

Fog lights come on after I lock car HELP

So after driving at night, I turn the headlights off, and after I lock the door when I get out, the fog lights turn on, and the fog light icon is illuminated on the dash

this happen to anyone?

the headlight knob is not pulled out or anything :/

Its normal, they should turn off after 15-30 seconds

Yes, it's by design and mentioned in the owner's manual. The purpose is to light the way after you park to get in the house or whatever. Works great for pulling in the garage although I wish they would stay illuminated just a bit longer and perhaps illuminated the back-up lights too for those who might have to walk around the rear of the vehicle.

2001 Mercedes SLK 230
When I parked and locked my SLK 230 today, the parking lights came on as usual however they would not turn off. They stayed on for 30 minutes before I had to disconnect battery. Has anybody had this problem?

I corrected the issue by selling the car, it was not a normal 15-30 second thing. Mine would stay on
