Maybe, they prefer to work their partners listed on their website as every car really deserves a very individualized program. PES did a lot of on board testing and communicating with GIAC before the product was finished.
The chip is now since > 2 years in my car, runs very well.

well , maybe u can get the K23 Power Upgrade Kit from Evosport , it is $1,757 if slk230 is made be4 may 2000 , 192hp/200lb-ft ---> 232hp/239lb-ft
but it is only $599 or $899 if the slk230 is made after May 2000

I know this is pretty late and I don't know if anyone else noticed this. The modification for the SLK230 made before May of 2000 is the one that costs more but it's also the one that adds more power (232 hp/239lb-ft). The cheaper kit--the one for the SLK 230 made after Summer of 2000--adds less power (220 hp/ 227lb-ft). I want to know everyone's comments. If I misread the chart, I'm going to feel pretty stupid. Please make sure I'm not crazy. I own an SLK 230 made in November of 1999 and looking at this chart is getting my hopes up. Haha.

Aww....poop! I did misread it. I failed to look above the pre May 2000 SLK230 line. The difference between the post Summer 2000 SLK 230 packages are that the $599 package comes with a "steel ring-type pulley" and the $899 package comes with an "all alloy pulley".

well , so what is ur plan now ???
i would like to get the pulley kit for my yr99 slk , but i m afraid of if the car couldn't pass the emission test after all .....
