A friend of mine needs help with her 230 Kompressor...
She sent me a text late last night, saying the car has been dying in traffic once the car is up to full operating temps... She recently took it in for a tune-up ($900 ) and said that didn't fix it. New mechanic she took it to suggested the MAF. I asked her if it was dying or simply losing lots of power, she specified that it's completely shutting off in traffic. She has a MAF on order, but my gut tells me it's something else.
Seems like a CPS to me, but it's weird that it only happens when it's at temp.
Do the 230 Kompressors come with a relay control module like the 320/32 AMG motors? Her mechanic supposedly checked the K40 (?) module, but he said that wasn't it. She's totally lost, cars aren't her thing and I'm too far away to take a poke at it.
Any help greatly appreciated...

My thinking as well. I was uncertain because I know nothing about the 4-cylinder motors...
She scored a MAF for $58 shipped, I told her at that price it won't hurt to go ahead and replace it since she effectively paid Mercedes $900 for a new air filter
I'll locate a CPS for her car and shoot the link to her. She told me it died w/o warning, no lights or anything. It would, however, immediately start right up.
Thank you for the confirmation!

I know this is going to sound funny, but when was the last time you changed the air cleaner...? My car was doing the same thing and I tried everything to no avail and when I changed the air cleaner, it cleared up. Hope this helps.
