I am going to inspect 2003 SLK 230. It is one owner car. It has 147000 miles on it. Out side is red color code 548U AMBER RED Metallic. Interior leather color is code 215A Quartz/Siam Beige.

Car has all the option except no Xenon lights and sport package. It has seat heater and power seats.

Owner is asking for $5500. I will offer $4000.

VIN is WDBKK49F23F274298 with built date is July 2002.

Car looks average from outside and don't have any dent or ding. Inside is more wear.

Is $4000 good price??

I own two of W210 and has been enjoying them for last 7 years. This will be my first SLK convertible.

I'd bring an obdii reader to see if there are any pending codes or codes stored in memory.

You can always choose to have the vehicle up for PPI (pre-purchase inspection). Most dealers or even private sellers would be willing to let you have the car checked out by any shop of your choice.

Some people in Mexico list the car on e""y with the VIN to get a free report!

Of course I would never do this or recommend this .
