4PSI can't be..
unless you've got a leak somewhere.

Anyways, for those with other MB kompressor engines, these are the official boost figures:
M 113.990/1/2 = 0.8 bar (V8 55K)
M 112.960/1 = 1.1 bar (V 6 32K)
M 271.946= 0.55 bar (1.8L, 143 hp version, C class)
M 271.940 = 0.7 bar (1.8L, 164 hp version, C class)
M 271.948 = 0.9 bar (1.8L 192 hp version, C class)
M 271.942 = 0.75 bar (1.8L direct injection CGI, C class)

1 bar = 14.5 PSI for conversion

For my M111 engine, I've been led to understand that the stock boost is 4 - 4.5 psi (~ 0.3 bar) and with the pulley upgrade (Kleeman, ASP, etc.), the boost increases to 9 - 9.5 psi (~ 0.65 bar). Anymore than that and the Eaton S/C has a signidicant heat issue. I've never actually measured the boost/charge temperature in my car, this is just what I've been led to understand.

I found a few sites saying the M111.973 pumps 5.8psi(.40 bar) and a few other saying 7.0psi(.48 bar)

Here are my Search Results

I'm pretty sure it's around 0.5bar/7psi. I've probably got some official literature. I'll see if I can find it.
