SLK/R170: Low engine temp

Low engine temp
The indicator in the dash show me that engine temp is only about 60 deg Celcius. It should be about 90 deg C.
The thermostat and the sensor in front of the engine are both replaced. But still the same problem.
Then I think there are a problem with the indicator in the dash. Somebody that have any experience with the same problem, or how to solve it?
It is a SLK 200 1996
