Hey there, I used to be on this forum a few years ago when I had my C43 AMG and found the people to be very helpful and a great source of info. I'm hoping to find the same now as I am leaning towards picking up an older model SLK for my extra car as soon as I can sell my hatchback.

I am aware of the search function in the forums, and will be using it pretty extensively over the next few weeks/months but was hoping anyone who might have a crash course of what to look out for, what is considered to be the best options or options to stay away from, etc. on these cars would be great. Basically, what are your thoughts on your car? What would you keep? What would you change? Any common parts that break down (like the c43 transmissions), how are they for reliability. Anything you have to share, I appreciate and look forward to getting to know everyone. Even if you just want to just say hi, that's cool too.
