Creaking roof
The roof on my '98 230K creaks alot! I've heard that you can lubricate the seals to stop it from happening - does anyone know what kind of lube to use and where to get it from?

You can just ask your MB dealer about silicone grease (parts no. A000 989 84 51) which MB recommends for the creaking roof. This was the case for my '01 SLK and my friends. Mine was fixed with this grease under warranty. Good luck!

MB dealer's greased up the roof and the difference is astounding! No more creaks! 
I dont know what they used, but it smells like WD40 inside the car. I would hope they used the recommended silicone grease...
Was VERY pleased with the service I got from them until I noticed a large dent in the roof. Looks like something heavy (a scaffolding pole?) has been dropped on it leaving a nice dent over the passenger door. Trouble is, I didn't spot it when I collected the car and so proving they did it will be very hard.
