Considering trade-Need advice
Hi folks,
I own an 02 C230 Coupe, and have really enjoyed it. I also own a 96 Mustang Cobra Convertible, and love it too. The other day my wife says, "why don't you sell them both and get a convertible Benz" (SLK230)? Now I'm giving it serious consideration.
What are your opinions/impressions of the SLK230? Quality, fun level, performance, any regrets, etc? Her only request is that it's automatic so she can occasionally drive it. I've always owned manuals, but in reality, the C230 6 speed ain't all that great, so I might agree. Are the Benz automatics OK?
I see that the 04 has considerable changes coming but from the pics I've seen, I don't like it as much as the 03 style. Is it supposed to be that much improved?
Also, when you get into the $40K range, you have a lot of good car choices. I thought about a Boxster too, but very low $40's is my limit, so the "S" is out of the question. Anybody have experience comparing the SLK to any others of that ilk?

If you are considering the SLK, look at the SLK320, or the SLK32. You may even want to place a deposit on the upcoming SLK55.
The SLK230, in my opinion does not have any power whatsoever.
They are all, however, wonderful, fun vehicles.

you can buy used slk32 with low mileage for low 40s. there is a silver one on ebay with a buy it now price of 43k

they only come with autos in the slk32. I was in the market for a used one and a lot of people are unloading low mileage 02s in the low 40s.
