His & Hers 2004 SLK320/Chrysler Crosssfire
722.6 Trans Sometimes Sticks in 2nd

Hi. I'm a new member. I'll start by saying that I bought my 2004 Chrysler Crossfire in 2011 with 28,000 miles. Car was in showroom condition, and had been sitting garaged and covered for more than three years. Did a full fluid service (except for the 722.6 trans) immediately after purchase, but six months ago the trans began occasionally sticking in 2nd gear ("2" displayed on the trans position indicator). Not a serious problem but irritating. Hitting the Auto Stick three times to the right put it back into DRIVE and everything was fine. Then last month the trans went into full limp-in mode accompanied by a P0715 code. I installed a new conductor plate, electrical pilot sleeve, pan gasket, and filter along with five qts. of fresh Shell 134 ATF. There was no fluid leakage at the electrical connector. The trans shifts beautifully now, but still occasionally sticks in 2nd from a standing start. What could be the probable cause? Any comments from knowledgeable members would be appreciated.
