S500

SLK 230 advise

I just checked out a S500 and it wasn't worth what was being asked. I stumbled on a 1999 SLK 230 and I'd like to know what to look for when I go to check it out. it has 118K miles on it and the owner wants 4000$ for it. Other than that the ad is empty. And its purple.

I was a certified Ford and VW mechanic before I left that field so I know the basics to check.

Is there anything specific I need to look for?

I'm in Bahrain so there's a good chance that this is a GCC spec car, or it was shipped over and sold off.

theres a few recalls for that model 'id check em out to see what was done to it yet. also a few things like the electronic seat adjustment and obviously the retractable roof break. so check those as well
