Slk230 throttle valve actuator problem

Hi all, I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. My slk has been intermittently going into limp mode, the issue is now constant. If I go over around 1800 rpm it goes into limp mode. I tried a mates star machine and it said there was a fault with the throttle valve actuator so I replaced with a known working one. I tried the star again and the fault is still there. I was wondering if maybe the harness to the actuator might be faulty not sure of the pin outs at the ecu or the actuator end to test for breaks or if I'm barking up the wrong tree. Any help would be much appreciated.

Best regards.
Dave

Try reset the bypass valve and dissconnect - battery for 15 minutes. And start car, let idle for 15 minutes and then go for a testdrive.
