Merceder-Benz SLK 200 R170
Light-red Fluid Leak from beneath gas tank
Hello,
can some advise what it is - Light-red Fluid Leak from beneath gas tank. Today has seen a puddle around 7cm beneath gas tank and dripping fluid from mid of gas tank from bolt. the fluid is little sticky with almost no smell, light read/transparent.

Appreciate some advise..

I thought transmission fluid was typically red. Could it be wicking back towards the fuel tank area when you are driving?

Sounds like transmission fluid. Trace it back to the middle if you can.
