SLK/R170: BOTH HEADLAMPS are OUT!

BOTH HEADLAMPS are OUT!
As i was leaving my office last nite, i found out
that BOTH of my headlamps (low beams) were out.
I thought it must have been the fuse cuz what are
the chances that both of the lamps go out at the same
time.
But i discovered that this car doesnt have a fuse for
the headlamp. ANY IDEAS? Kinda inconvenient cuz
now i cant drive at night.

With my SLK I've found that the chances of more than one exterior lamp failing at the same time are excellent. I just got my car back from the dealer yesterday with yet another brand new taillight assembly. My headlights have also both gone out this month 
I'll just keep taking it back and they will just have to keep fixing it!

As it turns out, both bulbs were BAD at the same time
due to alternator discharging more voltage than normal.
The back brake light was because the assembly was melted
cuz i sat in traffic for too long with the brake pedal on.
Apparently u had to replace the whole assembly. That
was around $250. claims that the latest SLK
have this problem corrected.
