Recirclating Air Valve.... possible to repair?
Anyone successfully repair on of these?
1110980109 is the pn.
They're stupid expensive new.
Got a used pne from picknpull lasted a couple months.
So, thinking, can I repair the original?
2002 M111 in a C Coupe.
Here's the Torque OBD error report.
Current Fault Log
------------------
P0243: Turbo/Super Charger Wastegate Solenoid "A"
Pending Fault Log
------------------
ECU reports no pending faults
Historic Fault Log
------------------
ECU reports no historic faults
Other discovered fault codes
(possibly pending, current or manufacturer specific)
----------------------------------------------------
P202D: Unknown code - More information may be available on the web
P2038: Reductant Injection Air Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance
P2039: Reductant Injection Air Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Input

So I asked the question year ago, is it possible to repair this part?
Now I see refurb'd ones for sale both by Mercedes and on ebay...and yeah it is the actual original part
with mercedes markings but refurb'd, The question is how?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/224587507861
What are they doing to fix these?

Mine also failed. From what I read, they fail when the stepper motor gets old and the software detects that the motor isn't doing exactly what it should. On one hand I'd like to think swapping out the motor would fix it, but on the other, if it's that finnicky, maybe not.
Honestly, I just drove without it for a couple years because the local M-B dealer wanted $2,000 to fix it and I didn't really need a supercharger to enjoy cruising the lake in my SLK.
I picked up a used one off eBay and installed it but to no avail. I contacted the seller who sent me a different one, but installing that one also didn't fix the problem.
I know they need to be "learned" so I brought it to a local indy shop who tried to "relearn" the used one I bought but it didn't work.
In the end, I paid the indy shop for a new one since they quoted me $1,500 instead of the $2,000 the dealer wanted.
They said they had trouble doing the relearn - they tried with two different aftermarket tools that said the relearn was a sucess but it didn't take. They ultimately used Xentry and that was able to let them relearn the new flap. Part of me wonders if they tried to relearn the used one with their aftermarket tools and that's why they failed.
I still have the used flaps in my garage - I don't want to sell them on eBay as their condition is unknown but I'd be happy to send them to someone for the cost of shipping if they have Xentry and want to test them out.

I repaired it successfully. The motor (not a stepper motor) was dirty and the bearings dry. Remove the two torx bolts and pull it out. I cleaned and lubed it, no problems since 2 years.
