2004 SLK 320
New SLK 320 Owner

Found a 2004 SLK320 with only 45K kilometers (28K miles) on it for my Wife. Almost perfect condition for a Canadian car. Runs real great, handles like a new car. Always garaged and never driven after September. Not a speck of rust which is amazing
Anyway, a few things make it just short of perfect.

One of the headlghts has condensation inside and both headlight lenses are a bit crazed. Can I just install aftermarket headlights like these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fit-98-04-Me...g/131969827750 ? Do they just fit in place using existing wiring and connectors? Just plug and play and no additional work?

Also, the radio reception is very bad. I can pick up only 3 or the about 20 station sin my area. Scanning picks up nothing so I have ot manually tunei the stations.

Lastly, when adjusting the audio (bass, treble, balance) it says to use the + and - to adjust. I feel so dumb, where is that? I cannot find the + or - key or button

Welcome aboard,
Condensation is normal,
please see the attachment.
Ive heard good and bad stories regarding aftermarket headlights
the bad being you can focus the lowbeams ok but the highbeams will be pointed at the tops of trees & or you may need to make your own adapter to plug it in.
As for the stereo you can download a owners manual here https://www.mbusa.com/vcm/MB/Digital...0_slk32amg.pdf page 115 explains the stereo controls.

Thanks for the information. I ordered a set of headlights and will try them. Aiming headlights is a lost art based on the number of cars on the road with ****-eyed lights

Thanks for the manual link.

The problem I have is with the soft keys for the + and -. I cannot increase the bass or treble. The + and - keys are supposed to be below the display but pushing them only changes the display.

Sorry if I woke up the censor, I meant no harm. I should have said the male chicken eyed lights

Anyway, an update, I fixed the radio reception problem. Seems the antenna cable had never been connected.I don't know how long the previous owner lived with the problem but I had to take off the dust cap on the cable to put it on and know it works and sounds good.
