Hi guys I'm new here so bear with me...

Any thoughts on chip tuning? and/or pulley upgrades and from who?

I've been looking at Klemann pulley and an upsolute chip...but why are all the other chips almost a $1000 more with the same results...I need something not so expensive for right now I'm only 20 and in school so the upgrade funds are kinda low...

I've already but 18" Atech wheels on with falken tires and im putting a catback on tomorrow...

Any thoughts for more speed welcome anytime...

The stuff I've read in the past 6 months or so on the Upsolute chip (without any pulley upgrade) doesn't impress me. I think I've seen three dyno runs that showed basically zero increase in performance. Supposedly, Upsolute is working on it, but there's no way I'd buy one unless it had a money-back guarantee based on a before/after dyno runs from at an independent shop (i.e. NOT the shop that sells and installs it).

I'm considering an Upsolute chip for my '99 SLK 230. I've not heard a lot of bad press for this chip in my application. Are the problems/lack of performance increase, for the 230 Kompressor engine. If so, can you direct me to any articles/threads where these dyno runs are posted.
