Mercedes SLK200 R170 1999
Speedometer, BAS/ABS/HandBrake lights
Good afternoon, I drive a SLK200 r170 from 1999 with great pleasure, but a few days ago me Speedometer stopt working and all brake lights like BAS/ABS/Handbrake and Brakepads are on. After using my Autel 702 I changed the rear left speedsensor, but the problem is still there. I have changed the brakeswitch at the pedal and alle brakelights are working. Any suggestions where to look? Thanks in advance! Jos

Out Of Control!!
Then you haven't corrected the problem and or your crapper scanner can't read the chassis faults. Get a new reader or find someone with the experience!

ABS EBS POWER STEERING INOPERABLE LIGHTS ON
I have a 2010 GLK350, ABS,EBS POWER STEERING INOPERABLE lights come on as soon as I drive over 10mph. Everything is functional but found this appears to happen when you are 500 miles from service being due. The fix, you have to go into service mode, put key in position 1, then with miles displayed, hold left position select button down until trip is highlighted, touch phone button for a second then hold ok button for 5 seconds. "ASSYST PLUS" should be displayed, select it by pressing OK. Go into "DYN0 TEST" and select ok to turn on. FO for a short drive while in DYno test, you will get a message the ABS,EBS and power steering are disabled while in test mode but they are functional don't worry. Pull over or head back home, you will need to turn off "Dyno Test by the same process you turned it on. You can also reset your service light while in "Assyst Plus"
GO for a test drive and all should be reset, I've had this happen to be a few times after my car sat at the airport for a long period while out of town. One thing that appears to trigger this is when service due for "service B" gets to within 500 miles, or so it has happened for me. Hope this is useful to all you DIY's Mercedes owners.

Speedometer ABS/ASR
Good news, everything is working again. I removed all the electronic modules of my slk and when i tested the K40 relais unit, I found out that 1 relais was not working. I ordered a new one for 3 euro and replaced it myself and now all problem are solved. 😊
